The validity of your Turkey Visa

In order to travel to Turkey, it is mandatory to have an approved visa. The validity of a visa for Turkey is 180 days. You may use the visa for Turkey within these 180 days for an unlimited number of trips to Turkey. Within the validity of 180 days you can stay in Turkey for a maximum of 90 days. These 90 days may be consecutive or divided over multiple trips to Turkey. If you stay in Turkey longer than the validity of the visa, then you are in the country illegally. You then run a risk of expulsion or a fine. We strongly advise you not to travel to Turkey outside the validity of your visa or overstay in Turkey.

Your visa for Turkey is valid for 180 days

You enter the start date on the application form for your Turkey visa . The visa for Turkey has a validity period of 180 days. From the moment we issue the visa for Turkey, the visa will be valid. If you apply on our site we will process your Turkey visa as soon as we are able to. If you would prefer for your visa to be issued closer to your travel date you can simply check the box "travelling to Turkey more than once". It is not mandatory to have already booked an airline ticket. A tip from us is that if you choose the dates of your expected arrival you will have the visa earlier than the days chosen. It may be that a holiday is being brought forward, so you can simply travel with this visa. If you arrive earlier than the issue date stated on your visa, you can not enter the country.


Stay for up to 90 days with a visa Turkey

The visa is valid in its entirety for 6 months, however you can only use the Turkey visa for a maximum of 90 days. These 90 days can be divided over multiple trips or you stay consecutively in Turkey for 90 days. You can therefore decide yourself when and for how long you use the 90 days that you are eligible for. Please note that these 90 days are valid within the 180 days of the visa. If they fall outside, you can not use them here. You will have to leave Turkey before the validity of the visa expires.

Rules on the validity of your visa Turkey

It is important that your passport must be valid for at least another 6 months after the start date of the visa. We explain the terms and conditions regarding your passport here. In some cases, your passport may not be valid for 6 months but your visa is still valid. You can no longer travel with this, you will have to apply for a new passport. You should always travel with the document which the visa was requested.

Visa expired?

Below is an image of how your Turkey visa would look once it has been granted. You will see on the right side the entrance and expiration date of the visa. If the expiration date has already passed then the visa is unfortunately no longer valid. You can then no longer use this visa in any way. There are different visas for Turkey.
